Digiralradio reflector...September 17 2000.
So how about it folks a mid week rehearsal of the CQ/RJ RTTY contest? An
opportunity to test your rig ,antenna, hardware, and software set ups. A
chance to test that new RTTY or contesting software, make sure your macros
are set correctly, figure out what zone you are in, and make sure your
capturing techniques are up to snuff. All done under pseudo-contest
conditions..
Here's the deal
CONTEST NAME : RR (RTTY Rehearsal) e.g.. "CQ CC RR RR""
OPEN to Amateur Radio Operators world wide.
***Contest Rehearsal times*** 0000 UTC September 21 st to 0400 UTC
September 21 (total 4 hours)
***BAND*** 20M or 40 M ONLY (different from the real contest)
***EXCHANGE*** Exactly the same as CQ/RJ Contest (it is a rehearsal after
all!)
***CLASS*** Single op only.
***POWER*** No power classifications.
"Stations within the 48 Continental United States and the 13 Canadian areas
must transmit RST, State or VE area, and CQ ZONE number. All other stations
must transmit RST and CQ Zone number"
"A given station may be contacted only ONCE per band regardless of the
Digital MODE employed. Additional contacts are allowed with the same station
on each of the other bands"
***SCORING *** (from CQ/RJ rules)
XI. QSO Points:
One (1) QSO point for contacts within your own country.
Two (2) QSO points for contacts outside your own country but within your own
continent.
Three (3) QSO points for contacts outside your own continent.
XII. Multiplier Points:
One (1) multiplier point for each U.S. state (48) and each Canadian area
(13) on each band.
One (1) multiplier point for each DX country in the ARRL and/or WAE lists on
each band.
One (1) multiplier point for each CQ zone worked on each band. A maximum of
40 Zones per band.
NOTE: KL7 and KH6 are country multipliers ONLY and NOT state multipliers.
NOTE: Canadian areas are: VO1, VO2, VE1 N.B., VE1 N.S., VE1 P.E.I., VE2,
VE3, VE4, VE5, VE6, VE7, VE8 N.W.T. and VY YUKON.
XIII. Final Score:
Total QSO points times the total multipliers equals the total claimed score.
***LOGS***
Submit Log via email only to obrienaj@netsync.net , they must be EXACTLY in
the format required by CQ/CJ (it is a rehearsal after all). Claimed scores
will be posted at http://www.netsync.net/users/obrienaj/rtty.htm
XIV. Contest Entries and Logging Instructions:
CQ/RJ WW RTTY DX logs and forms should be used to facilitate scoring and
checking.
All Logs must show:
Times in UTC.
All sent and received exchanges are to be logged.
(Callsign, RST, Zone, Country, State/VE, points claimed).
Indicate State/VE area, Zone and Country Multiplier only the FIRST TIME it
is worked on EACH BAND.
Use a separate log sheet for EACH BAND.
A check list of duplicate contacts for EACH BAND (DUPE SHEET). Logs MUST be
checked for duplicate contacts, correct QSO points and multipliers.
Submitted logs must show duplicate contacts clearly marked.
A MULTIPLIER Check Sheet for each band.
An overall SUMMARY SHEET showing total QSOs, Points, Zones, countries and
states/VE areas worked.
