question! I will post a summary of replies in a few days.
If possible, please include in your recommendations for a USB-SERIAL ADAPTOR
whether it will send 5-bit Baudot (FSK) to your rig's FSK (SHIFT) connector.
Some of us know that the Rocketport serial cards for desktops will not do
5-bit code, but others will. IF you happen to know that FOR SURE
(especially if you're actually doing FSK through the card that you're
recommending), please include those specific comments.
Shouldn't have to be a roll of the dice, but many have been burned by serial
adaptors that don't do what you expect. Sending Baudot is NOT supported by
all serial adapters, and it's difficult to find out the specs at that level
in the Internet ads.
