I have been using WINRTTY (Writelogs rtty program) since the beginning. It
works very well. In fact, the tuning indicator is more acurate than any of the
terminal units I have used. I always come back exactly on the other guy
frequency. I sold my Dovetron as the Winrtty was just as good. My PK232MBX is
boxed up as it is no longer needed. I do believe that other soundcard rtty
program work very well, but all the features of Writelog makes this the one that
I use.
As far as problems with the RTTY Receive. My best advice is to go to the online
help, select WINRTTY and then read and follow the section ofn "Setting the
Levels". You want to set the incoming signal level to be in the Green, not too
high or too low. I sure can pick up the very very weak rtty that I could not
with the terminal units.
