Edgar, I just answered a similar question the other day. I'll cut and paste
my reply below....
Most software today that has rig control also supports rotator control.
The Hygain DCU-1 protocol is the most popular as it has been around the
longest. The Rotor-EZ kit is well designed and also works really well.
I've built three of these so far and they are really nice additions to the
HAM
CDE/Hygain control boxes to allow for automated RS-232 operation. I also
have an original Hygain DCU-1 digital control box which always has worked
well for me.
Writelog still does not support rotator control but in recent communications
I was told that it would be likely something to look for in the near future.
Ron told me that there were many requests for rotator support in Dayton and
we'll just have to wait and see. The Rotator support (for DCU-1 protocol)
works just great in DX4WIN and Logic5 for me and hopefully will soon work
along with Writelog too. 73, -=Rog-K9RB=-
