It happened right from the start of the contest, so I think it's unrelated
to log size. The computer is a 100MHz Pentium notebook. I wasn't using
Packet or Network. I was using the W5XD+ external keyer, which operates
asynchronously with WL, so I don't think it had anything to do with COM port
or LPT port keying. Like I said, I think the delay has something to do with
how the %C macro is processed. For example, the partial callsign may be put
in a buffer which is the size of the maximum length of a callsign, padded
out with spaces. Perhaps the extra spaces are being sent. I'm only
speculating, but that's the sort of thing that could cause the symptoms we
saw.

How many qso's in your log at the time and what is the speed of your
computer are you running. Do you think it might be related to
processing power and other interrupts? like Packet and Network stuff??
