Hi George --
If your computer is running Windows NT for an operating system, the LPT
port can not be used by WriteLog. (There is no appropriate WinNT driver for
the LPT port.) I believe that is also the case for Windows 2000, but I'm
not certain.

Subject: [WriteLog] Unable to key the radio
Hello,
I am new to WL and 'am having trouble getting it to CW key my radio. Here
is
the situation:
I am using a keyline on LPT1. I have gone into WL's Setup and chosen LPT1
for CW keying and "PC Generate" as the keyer. In CW PTT Setup, I have
chosen
"none". I have put messages into each of the F-function key memories. With
WL in the CW mode, the rig will not key when I hit one of the function keys.
To prove out the keyline and the LPT port on the computer, I installed CT on
the same computer. Using the same keyline on LPT1, CT will key the rig just
fine. This proves that the keyline on LPT1 is working ok on the computer
that is running WL.
Any suggestions?
Tnx...geo...
