Hey Guys,
Doug (KF4KL) came up with a good solution to the TS-850
accessory connector problem and I followed suit a couple
of years ago. We brought the accessory connector cable
up to a shielded box with RCA jacks for the connections.
I even put an A - B switch on mine so that I could
choose between TNCs.
It's now a simple matter to change TNCs or reconfigure
the station. A little extra work now will save a LOT of
frustration later.

George, good idea. Bill Henry wrote a article in the RTTY Journal, last issue
or the one before that, that not only did this, but used relays and the ptt to
switch between the soundcard and the TNC. It could be used for two TNC's or
two soundcards or whatever you want. Add another relay circuit and add more
TNCS. This circuit could be used with any radio, not just the TS-850S. One
for reason to subscribe to the RTTY Journal.
