Hi Dave, So sorry but "been there", ugh! This latest version has the sore
throat thing. Several people came down with it at Maine Fiddle Camp last week.
Fortunately not me..
So, more good news. I will be on tonight. Just checked out the 222 setup and
I'm putting out 300 watts into a "K1FO rover special", 10 elements at 55 ft.
Grid here is FN54JQ and I'll be on at 7 and on ON4KST chat.

Subject: [222Activity] Get ready for 222 MHz Activity Night.
Yes it is Tuesday, but I must sit this one out. I came down with what I
believe is Covid and it is knocking me for a loop. I had it once before
and it was no biggie. This time, I am really out of commission. If
someone offered to saw off my head I would probably taker them up on it.
I have a wicked cough, stuffed sinuses, aches, and a bad sore throat. I
can't really talk. Last night I got zero sleep and I must beg off on
operating this evening. The good news is that WZ1V, Good Buddy Ron has
his amplifier running again and, hopefully will take up the slack and
vacuum in a bunch of callers for the evening. If I feel up to it, I may
get on in hopes of contacting WA3EOQ to keep our 100% contact streak
running. I won't be on SSB though. I may not show at all. It all depends.
So the plan is for everyone to show up and look for your friends. You
can even look for Ron. The ON4KST Chat page is a good resource. (
ON4KST.com 144/432 Region 2 Chat) THe festivities get in high gear
pretty close to 23:00 UT.
