Well, the 222 MHz Activity Committee is overjoyed that WZ1V is back on making noise and literally scraping contacts up on 222 MHz again,  where others are not even looking. I think he has a vacuum cleaner attached to his yagi somehow.  Anyway, to celebrate the occasion, the 222 MHz Activity Committee has proclaimed that all those callsigns who manage a contact with Ron this evening will be thrown into a  bowl and a winner picked to enjoy an all expenses paid holiday in the North woods of Manitoba at Egg Island and Nunalla on the glamorous shores of Hudson's Bay. This is about 100 miles North of Fort Churchill.  The trip will commence on January 20th 2026, and last three weeks. You will enjoy all the amenities offered there including rock collecting, snow shoeing and polar bear escaping. I sort of lied about the "North woods". There are no trees in Nunalla, but plenty of tundra and vistas wherever you look assuming there are no white outs or blizzards. I should add that there is no airstrip so arrival is via parachute.  Your fun filled vacation will end with a snow shoe march South to Fort Churchill, where you will be taken back home via bush plane (weather permitting). Nunalla in January is great as the black flies are not as hungry then.

With that added incentive, there is no reason not to get on 222 MHz this evening. If you work Good Buddy Ron, you will win a chance at that fabulous trip of a lifetime. It may be the last trip of your lifetime as well.  Activity starts around 222.100 starting before 2300 hours UT and is a great way to have fun while checking out your gear prior to the June Contest. Don't forget to monitor the ON4KST  Chat page 144/432 Region 2.

Please try to show up and make a few contacts this evening. Make sure you work WZ1V to be entered in the prize drawing.
