Yes boys and girls it is time for the fantastic excitement of another
222 MHz activity evening. Dust off your Gonset IV and get on the air!!
I came down with a bad cold yesterday evening. I will not be on as I am
pretty much bed ridden today and not up to an adventure up the hill thru
our latest snow fall. I am consuming cough drops and cold remedies at an
alarming rate. My wife is keeping her distance from me even more than
her usual 200 ft. It looks bad, but that does not mean everyone else
cannot get on and have some fun. Last week Good Buddy Ron WZ1V had 28
contacts and his totals have been going up lately. Will he break the 30
QSO barrier and usher in Springtime conditions? Will a new station or
two show up from a rare grid? Will K3SK burn a hole through the band
with his repaired antenna? Your best bet to find out is to get on this
evening around 2300 UT on 222.100 MHz and find out! K8RYU will be on
from Ohio and looking for DX. WA3EOQ might be late and QRV after 0100
UT if his volleyball league is playing tonight. All in all it looks like
a great time to be on one of the best VHF bands for an evening.
I am going back to bed with my cough drops.
