Has anyone ever thought about approaching Q5 Signal regarding a
'depopulating' of the 5BVUX models from five bands to just THREE bands -
removing 144 and 432 for folks who'd like to use IF radios that ALREADY
have 144 and 432 (many Icoms prior to the 7300; many Yaesus such as the 8x7
series, the 818 and the 991s, even the Kenwood TS2000)?

It likely wouldn't be 3/5 the cost of the fully populated 5BVUX (maybe 3/4,
though?) but to add three bands in ONE additional box could be a handy way
to get on three more bands.

If no one has thought of or approached this previously, I hereby make that
'product suggestion'.
