Hi all, well, things don't always go as planned! I hadn't planned on a BIG
showing this contest with a bunch of projects that didn't get completed
especially fixing my rotor which is still stuck SW. But in the end, I decide to
just get on and give out the grid to some of the regulars especially on 2M-432.
I really wasn't in the mood to operate 6M FT-8 all weekend and I just operated
for about 2.5 hours concentrating on 2,220,432 SSB and CW, especially 220. I
actually only operated on 6 after being moved there from one of the higher
bands, (hah hah)!!!
Anyway I had fun working the local gang here's the breakdown:
6M 3Q 3 mult
2M 10Q 7 mult
222 6Q 5 mult
432 5Q 5 mult
total 24 in 20 > 35 QSO points x 20 mult = 700 score
I don't have anything against FT-8 and used the mode on all 4 bands. all
together 7 Q's on FT-8, 17 on SSB or CW.
Best DX was W2KV in FN20 Sunday night on CW, 409 miles. "Highlights" (such as
they were) were working K1TEO on 4 bands on Sunday and Jeff said he did not
have my grid on any band (wow!), also worked Dale AF1T on 4 bands right at the
very end - he said he had been looking for me.
Still it was fun and everything worked (except the rotor). I have "plans" now
for September...
