John,

I check FT4 frequency repeatedly: No signals ever.

When there is an Eskip opening BE ON SSB.

I saw some Eskip while on FT8: switched to SSB.
Netted 5 QSOs on the Gulf Coast from WPA
(only two grids though, EM60 and EM80; sniff).

Then the ICE hit big time, see my post (1/21/2020; 3:25)

I had a short 6 meter Es opening to Arizona last Saturday night and made a
few FT8 contest QSOs. I never thought to check FT4. Was there much FT4
activity in the contest? I know that it is supposed to be the contest mode
for WSJT-x, but are most people still on FT8 in VHF contests?
