We will again be fielding 1296 in the January VHF contest as part of the
W4NH setup. As per our January routine we will be at the QTH of Bob Lear
W4ZST in Dahlonega, GA, We have a pair of 12 foot loop yagi's, a mast
mounted DEMI preamp and a 150 watt PQL amp. We will be good for SSB, CW
and all of the digital apps in the WSJT-X suite. Now is the time to get
that "it worked when I put it on the shelf a couple of years ago" setup for
1296 out and tested and your antennas up and tested. There has been a lot
of chatter on the reflector about others wanting our spectrum. This is a
"use it or loose it" kind of things. So, here is a chance to use it!
Who knows maybe there will be some kind of a fluky opening. And the
digital modes can make a closed band seem open. Give it a shot, see you on
1296 MHz.
