woo hoo, Looks like I can count on 1 Q in 1 grid tomorrow night! I will be on
some time after I get home at 8PM from FN54 with my usual 50 watts and 15
elements at 120ft. Hope to work many!!

Subject: [VHFcontesting] 222 Sprint FN55
I have been scrambling to finish the 222 setup. Output from the amp
is lower than expected, but I will be active running 800 watts out,
K1FO-22 at 117 feet and tower mounted preamp. I hope to work a few
of you. If I work you on SSB and I am loud enough, I would
appreciate a quick comment on signal/audio quality.
I think the new antenna is working well. K1IIG/B (325 miles) has
been almost continuous copy since Thursday when I completed work on
the tower and hooked up the antenna. It is up and down but peaks S5
to S6 at least a few times every day. K2DLL/B over a challenging 290
mile path is in and out but peaks S2 to S3 several times every day.
That is surprising considering I rarely hear K2DLL/B on 144 MHz.
KO1I/B is of course loud all the time. Thanks to the beacon
owners/operators for the useful system evaluation tools!
I am now moving on to getting the 432 stuff ready.
73,
Paul N1BUG FN55mf
