All,

With credit and many thanks to Roger W3SZ, per below, here is a 10 GHz & Up
UDC for use with the N1MM Software.

Hi All,

I put an N1MM UDC for the ARRL 10 GHz and Up contest at:
http://w3sz.x10.mx/ARRL10GHZ.udc

It is an incomplete solution, because the scoring for this contest
cannot be done completely with a UDC; complete scoring would require
that the contest be incorporated into N1MM as a "supported contest" and
that is something only the N1MM developers can do.

What this UDC does do is keep track of your distance points and allow
you to generate a Cabrillo file which you only need to change by adding
the Unique-Call-Per-Band points to the distance points in order to get
your total point score.

To enter your distance points for each contact into the N1MM log, edit
each contact and put the distance in km for that contact in the "Misc"
field and click "Update". The distance points must be entered as an
integer. Use the ceiling function to map the floating point value of
the distance in km to an integer; i.e, 145.01 maps to 146, not 145.
This is per Bart Jahnke, W9JJ, ARRL Contest Branch Manager:

> Regarding rounding, at present our policy for the 222 MHz & Up Distance
> Contest and the 10 GHz & Up Contests is to use distances in full
kilometers
> - not decimal values - and therefore to not round down. So for example,
> when we do a calculation of a value of "25.1" ,we round up to "26". We
> don't recalculate/reevaluate all entries, so when doing your own
> calculations please round accordingly.

This image shows how your screen will look when you use this UDC for the
contest, along with WinGrid to calculate the distances in km:

http://w3sz.x10.mx/10GHZN1MM.PNG

If you don't understand any of the above, then don't use this UDC.

If you already have an N1MM log for this contest started using another
"Contest" selection, you cannot convert that log to use this UDC unless
[1] you are an sqlite user who knows how to edit sqlite database files,
and [2] you know which N1MM database tables need to be modified, and [3]
what modifications need to be made to those tables. The process is
trivial if you meet these criteria. But if you don't know what you are
doing, you can destroy your N1MM database file. So if you don't already
know exactly what to do, don't even think of modifying your N1MM
database file.

73,

Roger
W3SZ
