The W4NH Fourlanders VHF-UHF-SHF-Micro contest group will again be on the
air this weekend for the Sept. VHF contest.

For this outing we will be returning again to our Mountaintop NC location of
Soco Bald (ele. 5,500 feet) just east of Cherokee. We will be in grid Square
EM85jm , coordinates N 35.51528 W -83.1825

We have equipment ready to operate SSB and CW on 50-144-222-432 and stacked
antenna arrays will be in the air (including our AZ-EL 432 EME array).
Kilowatts provide QRO power on 50 through 432 MHz.

During slower times of the contest (Saturday evening & late night, Sunday
afternoon & early evening) our individual station operators will be logged
into the ON4KST website band chat rooms spotting our frequencies of
operation and looking for terrestrial schedule attempts (Phone, CW, FSK441,
JT65). Simultaneously, we will also be monitoring DXsummit.fi specific band
spots.

We now are running WSJT-X on 6M and are capable of easier JT-65A contacts on
50.276 MHz. During slower 6M activity times we will be watching .276 for
JT-65 activity.

Also, while we intend to participate in EME on 432, we also would like to
encourage terrestrial 432 contacts using JT-65B. Just watch for W4NH-432
user logged into the ON4KST chat room and let us know when you want to
attempt a JT-65B contact.

New for this contest effort will be the addition of a 4 band station added
to make 50-146-222-440 FM contacts for those wanting to make contact with us
but do not have SSB of CW capability. This 4 band station also will be using
directional antennas with good gain. If you have directional FM antennas
please point them toward Soco Bald. The coordinates are listed above for
your reference. We will be using the following FM simplex frequencies>

52.525

146.52 146.49 146.55

223.500

446.000

Our FM operators plan to call CQ for 5-7 minutes at the top and bottom of
the hour, as well as respond to other CQs heard.

Hope to catch you in our logs !!!

Ron

WW8RR

432 Band Captain
