HELLO DAVE AND OTHERS,
As I type I am vacationing in FN51 in S. Wellfleet walking distance from the
Marconi site. I have been coming here for 15 years yet never operated a
contest although I usually bring up a G5RV 202' antenna and work HF. Sure is
a great location for HF esp looking towards EU say Guglielmo. I am in the
woods and can put up any antenna I wish at a friends beautiful rental home
which is surrounded by 60-70' trees so poor for VHF. Next August I might
bring up a 10ghz station and hit the beaches where others rove. I was
totally surprised last year to work this grid from FN31nl in Ct on 10ghz
with 2w and a 2' dish. This year I did bring up a IC-7000 and a halo and
might try the CQ contest this weekend on 2m and 6m if the bands open. Will
post if I get on.

I concur with Rick. I have been there (once) on Sunday afternoon and it was
pretty good. 6m was open for part of the time I was there which enhanced
the fun factor. It can be a little challenging to find a great spot there
but there are at least a couple of spots along Rt. 6 that work reasonably
well.

don't think it would work in the middle of a loop as it o a little out of
the way (or a lot out of the way)
