I just worked AA4SC, a friend of Ted Goldthorpe, W4VHF, ex W4VCC and 
asked about Ted.  He informed me that Ted just recently became a silent 
key.  I haven't seen anything about it on the various reflectors so I 
hope this isn't old news.  In any event, Ted and I became friends many 
years ago when he, AA4SC and some other friends of his rented our QTH in 
FL16 and operated as C6AFR.  Ted and his wife, Itice, were fixtures on 
the six meter band and always seemed to show up from some place in an 
opening.  He will be missed.
