I picked up a Cushcraft A449-11S yagi on Friday. According to the Cushcraft website and other places, it is rated for 440-450MHZ (the FM portion of the band). They make the A430-11S for the SSB portion (430-440mhz). I adjusted the gamma match on the yagi since it was out of adjustment for any portion of the band, and now it shows a 1:1 SWR across both the FM and SSB portions of the band. So I wonder, how usable would it be on SSB? Is the gain and front to back likely to be really poor on 432 mhz? 73 John AF5CC _______________________________________________ VHFcontesting mailing list VHFcontesting@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/vhfcontesting |
