I know most of you who are on Stanford VHF reflector have already seen
this.
If you are a VHF/UHF weak-signal op from North Texas northward to
southern Manitoba or from the Rockies Front Range eastward to about the
Mississippi River, I hope you'll make a point to get on for the upcoming
Sept contest. It's on the 14th and 15th.
If you know you'll be on, shoot me your call, grid, bands, and plans to
w9fz@w9fz.com . I'll take what you send me and work it into the
http://w9fz.com/midwestmania13/ website. There is also a spreadsheet
(via a link) you can edit yourself. There are tabs on the website for
(known) fixed stations, rovers, and portables.
The point is to get every possible op on-the-air and turn what can be a
sometimes quiet area into a bedlam of activity. There will be some
rovers out there for which you should look.
