 I use a custom LiFePO4 battery pack very similar to this model

After using two 7ah sealed lead acid batteries weighing in at 13 pounds and 
going to this light weight setup for near the same juice at 2.5 pounds it was 
well worth the price especially to lighten the load for hiking.
