Unfortunately, the C6AFP/B, 50.040, in FL16, Abaco, Green Turtle Cay, The Bahamas, developed a significant chirp that my friend, C6AGN, couldn't pin down. As of last night, it was in the US and headed for a repair point. I hope to get it fixed and back down there as soon as possible. Not sure how much FedEx is going to charge me to send this thing to Green Turtle Cay but that is the only option vs. waiting for whenever for someone who is going to an island of 300 residents to haul it down there. Think the movie, The Castaway.

Interestingly, the beacon is still operating on the six meter Ringo that John Walker, WZ8D, took down there to our place at least 20 years ago. That antenna has been through too many serious hurricanes to count and it hasn't yet come down, no tuning issues, etc. Certainly amazing.

I will advise when it is back on the air or at least headed in that direction.

Regards,

Steve, N4JQQ/C6AFP
