Yes and no...
Here in the SF Bay Area I noticed an increase in FM activity but most
of it was by known VHF contesters getting on hoping the FM "crowd"
would join in... But maybe there is no FM crowd, random scans of the
repeaters showed almost no activity there either...
Might be the best way to get more VHF contest activity is to get the
HF contesters interested... But thats been nearly impossible out here
as well.
