Rather than rely on "suggestions" for channels on the national contest
website that would surely be mis-interpreted as "rules", it would be better
to have a web page somewhere that shows preferred channels by region and/or
city. That way, the ARRL could say "Stay off the 146.52 lawn!" and there
would still be some clearly un-official guidelines for what channels to use.
If some group would put one up and solicit the info, I am pretty sure Sean
would be willing to add a link to it on the contest's web page. Pack Rats?
Pacific NW VHF Society? Buehler? Anybody?
