I am always willing to show my equipment in operation and to assist anyone
who wants to get active on the microwave bands. My usual contest location is
kind of out in the middle of nowhere in east central Illinois but isn't that
hard to give directions to, if anyone close ever wants to visit when I'm
there.

The 10 GHz contest September weekend was rather loosely structured where I
was, with two other stations, on the western lakefront of Lake Michigan in
Wisconsin (we roved together for a while). I wouldn't have minded some ham
visitors. We actually did have a ham visit us in Point Beach State Park near
Two Rivers. I had a lot of visitors who were curious what we were doing. But
we had long periods of waiting while people on the other side of the lake
drove to new locations, and it would've been optimum for showing someone the
ropes.
