I guess I was the only FN30 multiband station for this contest. Conditions
never really improved much after all the rain stopped. There was a little
enhancement South to FM16 late Sat ~11PM till ~ 12:30 AM when I called it quits
for the night. Worked 144 & 432 down there to a few stations but activity was
down as most had gone to sleep. Nothing to the North. Other than that,
conditions were flat to poor and never picked up. 6M never opened up at all
from here.
Results for me where better than last Sept'08. Having added CW capability
definitely helped me on 903 & 1296, also did 1 or 2 CW Q's on 432 & 144.
ANALYSIS: Sept 07 was my best total score so far with old antennas and only 4
element beam on 222. In '07 on 222, I did 49 Q's & 22 grids. In 08 & 09 with
big new M2 15 element 222 antenna I only did 35 Q's and 14 or15 grids !!! See
what all that work & $$$ did for me - ha ha. I guess it's all conditions &
activity. Maybe I don't want to know all this......
