I have just been informed that K2DRH worked CA last night in the Perseids for
#48 Terrestrial. Congratulations to Bob! That makes …

11 people previously known about and published in radio magazines ...
#12 was N0PB August, 2008 Perseids digital
#13 was N0LL, July 2009 e-skip to ME
#14 is K2DRH, August, 2009 Perseids digital

That also makes 3 of 14 completing on digital, KM0T (who did it twcie in
2001/2002) and now N0PB and K2DRH.

N0LL is the farthest west, and now K2DRH is the farthest east. The distances of
these last two QSO’s are simply amazing. N0LL worked ME, K1WHS, at 1459 miles
in an e-skip, and now K2DRH worked into CA, N6RMJ, at around 1566 miles on
digital MS.

Thanks for all the prior e-mails on who is close. I am maintaining a summary
file on anyone at or close to 48 states terrestrial on 2 meters. It is located
at: http://www.w9smc.com/SMC%20VHF/2%20Meter%2048%20States%20Summary.pdf

The summary file has a map, biblio references, and tables for the east,
midwest, and west. If anyone wants to be included in the summary file or has
updates on their states worked, please send me something.
