DTV signals have a pilot carrier that's 310 khz from the bottom of the channel.

So, listen for a carrier from USA channel 2 stations at 54.310, etc.

I understand that ALL US station shutdown their analog transmissions on June
12,2009.

I was wondering about Canadian TV stations, did they also switch to digital
or could I listen on them still for possible band openings to the north?

If so, from what I can find on the internet they use the same frequencies as
the US stations did?

CH2 - 59.75

CH3 - 65.75

CH4 - 71.75

CH5 - 81.75

CH6 - 87.75

All of the above are FM Audio channels.
