10 GHz - FT-857 - DEMI tranverter with JWM Engineering LO, HP 10W
solid state brick, 2' dish.
Lots of operators this year, won't have the full list until we're
done... and as always, all temporary towers erected just for the fun
of the contest!
Have fun out there, be safe... the Colorado Rovers are already
discussing the nasty afternoon weather (hail, lightning, and tornado
producing thunderstorms on the Eastern plains for 8 days straight now)
and talking about safety plans.
Our plan of a fly-by from a Cessna 182 at the W0KVA site near Limon,
CO and the W0EEA "Radio Barn" for a photo op for the QSL cards, was
scrubbed this morning due to high winds at the launch airport
(Centennial, CO KAPA), and low visibility in the vicinity of Limon, CO
as reported by the W0KVA team and the automated weather station near
KLIC. We may reschedule for tomorrow, forecast looks a lot better.
Today the winds were 150 @ 15 G 28 at KAPA... flyable, but not that
much FUN.
See you on the air from the Cow Pasture under the paging tower...!
Photos will trickle up to www.rmham.org as we have them...
73, GL!
