Greetings all,
Well, all 5 of the Spring Sprint Events are past and the only remaining
'deadline' is tomorrow's log submission deadline for the 50 MHz event.
I've received 58 logs for 50 MHz so far and I was AMAZED that 30 of them
(over half of what I've received) came in within 24 hours of the end of the
contest. With the other 4 events, the total log count is just shy of 250.
Log checking is, for the most part, DONE for 144, 222 and 432 and should go
very quickly for the Microwave with only 17 logs received. Once the 50 MHz
logs are "closed", that, to, should go quickly. At present, I am *planning*
to announce the 2009 results in conjunction with a 'significant' VHF-related
happening toward the end of July which just happens to be very close to my
home QTH this year.
Here is one FINAL request to CHECK that your log was received, checking the
various lists at:
http://groups.google.com/group/springsprints/web/
57 of the 58 logs for 50 MHz ARE listed there and the 58th will appear with
tomorrow morning's update (along with any more that this posting might
prompt to get submitted before my morning update).
One "update" I will be making to ALL of the Logs Received pages (target by
Noon on Wednesday) is the "classification" of the logs, "Single-Op"
(predominant), Rover, Rookie (not too many this year) and Multi-Op. Once I
do that, PLEASE check your category and, especially if 'your' entry SHOULD
have been "Rookie", let me know ASAP if I got yoru classification wrong.
Continued thanks for everyone's time, interest and participation in the
2009 Spring Sprints.
73, 'JK' (K9, that is), John Kalenowsky, Spring Sprint host and log-checking
human
