Pete,
I can only speak for the Front Range side of things, but there are a
number of high power 222 MHz stations in DM79 and DM89 that would be
looking for you...
About the only way that path would work is with afternoon
thunderstorms and ducting, but we've all regularly worked Grand
Junction on 2m and a few of the better stations have worked across the
Rockies on higher bands when conditions are right.
I think you were probably looking for "closer" Colorado stations --
there are some over that-a-way depending on where they set up this
year. Some folks near Buena Vista, Durango, and Grand Junction,
depending on who participates...
We'll look for you from DM89, for sure.
CC'ing the Rocky Mtn VHF list -- you might get some direct replies.
Feel free to join us on that e-mail list too, if you're in the Rocky
Mtn Region... www.rmvhf.org
