DX in this sprint will be limited because my 16 els over 16 els
up 100' are stuck pointed WSW. Rotor's broken for 50, 222 and
432. I should do well into Madison, Dubuque and Des Moines. If
any Omaha stations are on 222 SSB, I'd enjoy hearing from you
off-list, LOL.

I suspect I'll be heard pretty well locally anyway, so definitely
getting on and supporting the 222 sprint. Where I'll try to make
more of an impact is on the FM side. There, I have 10 els vertical,
up 60' fixed toward Milwaukee and Chicago. Since I make plenty
of cross-pol Q's into Chicago with the horizontal yagis, I'm very
interested in seeing how well 10 els vertical will play.

I'll have K9JK and WB8BZK rovers moving around EN 52/62
51/61 grid corner, and the attendant activity that stirs up from fixed
stations. Because there's large amounts of 223.5 FM activity to be
had, if you network with them a little bit, I suspect we'll have a good
ol' time.

This is a serious suggestion, albeit on short notice. If anyone
wants
to go out and rove NE or E Central Iowa, I found out today that
there's a good strong pocket of FM activity on 223.5 in and around
the Cedar Rapids area. Talking 10-20 stations sometimes that enjoy
223.5. One fellow emailed me today to say that they even enjoyed
working multiple midwest states during one contest "when the
contesters found us".

Don't know if we have any Iowa readers here, but if a rover or
two put EN32/42/41/31 grid corner on the air, you'd prolly work
several dozen contacts across the various grids. I'm on the level.
You'd also perhaps expose some new folks to contesting and/or
roving, without much of a time or equipment commitment.

Contact me off-list if you want to run with this. I can share
more details.

     73,
     Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
