I just received a cell phone call from Terry W8ZN and his second op Andy
K1RA about 40 mins ago. Three bands have failed and the rotator does not
turn any more. The temperature atop Reddish Knob is well below zero F. So
Terry and Andy have thrown in the towel. If you have schedules with them,
they will not be there.
There is a very small possibility that Terry will be able to repair the
rotator and the broken bands. If so they will go out tomorrow morning but
where is unclear.
Rovering is fun! Especially when you are climbing a rover mast at 20 below
zero F!
Conditions are really poor!
