I built several 24 element loopers. Not difficult at all, it just was 
tedious cutting all those aluminum strips by hand.  For my 903 looper 
which I built later, I had the machine shop down the street cut me the 
elements.  Think he charged me $5 to do it.

Total cost for the 1296 looper by doing it myself was about $40 in 
materials plus my time.
