  The W2EH antenna party. October 15th, 2008.

Wx was warm & slight breeze. The tower is 25G ~45 ft high.
Pictures attached - downsized to 600X800.

  Bucket crew, W2EH & WA2VNV.
  Ground crew, KA2DRR, WB2FXN, & W2EH's dad, Guy.
  Pictures taken by KA2DRR.

This is what we have to do for a free lunch. (8-)) grin.

Get the Man Lift from rental company & set it up.
  Tower work started ~9AM.
  1st remove Tennadyne T-6 & short mast.with gin pole.
Disconnect & remove rotor and hang off side of tower.
Pull up and drop in new ~22 ft Al thick wall mast.
Install 2M7 beam and SP2000 preamp near the top of mast.
Push up mast ~8 ft and install 6M5X beam.
Push up mast almost to full height. Time for lunch.
Install new modified rotor plate ~5 ft down in tower with much diffulticy.
Cut diagonal bars to install rotor - no other way to do it.
Drop mast down into rotor. Add shims, aim & clamp the mast.
Install NEMA box with antenna switch ~3 ft from top.
Pull up 7/8 hardline, secure to tower & connect to the box.
Spray paint all the hardware that's not stainless steel.
Do a horizontal lift of the T-6 and reinstall on the mast.
Reconnect the coax to the T-6, route and connect 2 & 6 meter cables to box.
Coax seal and secure & dress all cables on top of tower.
See the setting sun shining on some of the antenna the elements.
Now ~6:15 PM, done for the day.

To be done in the next day(s).
Pull up & install control cable to NEMA box. (We forgot to do it.)
Finish installing 7/8 cable clamps to tower legs.
Ditch Witch trench for remaining ~150 ft of 7/8 & control cable to house
entry.

Then we finally get to see if all is working as planned !
Listen for a new VHF'er, W2EH, from the East end of FN30.

  73's & gud DX.
  George, WA2VNV, FN30kv
  HF + 50 thru 1296
