Dan,
The gang from W4NH will be looking for you from on top of Soco Bald in NC in
EM85 if Hurricane Ike does not wash us off of the mountain.
EM67 and EM77 are difficult for us to work right on the other side of the
Smokies !!

Subject: [VHFcontesting] K9ZF/R Plans for the September VHF QSO Party
The ARRL September VHF QSO Party is nearly here! *Just 8 more days,
September 13 - 15, 2008. You can find all of the details here:
http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2008/sepvhf.html
*
After the Greater Louisville Hamfest tomorrow, I plan to scout for a
couple of new operating spots. I'll send an update this week if I find
some better spots. But the basic plan is:
EM77 and EM67 on Saturday. Somewhere south of Louisville, KY.
EM68 and EM78 on Sunday. In Salem and Henryville, IN, respectively.
6 meters will be 100 watts, 3 elements at 18'.
2 meters will be 160 watts, 10 elements at 24'.
432 Mhz will be 100 watts, 18 elements at 21'.
Sorry, I still haven't been able to get back on 222.
Will also have FM on each band. I'll try to monitor 2m FM simplex, and
would be more than happy to work anyone on FM if you don't have SSB or
CW available.
