The Ontario VHF Association presents our annual get-together at Humber
College North Campus in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. ( 205 Humber College
Blvd. Toronto, Ontario M9W 5L7 ) on Saturday September 27, 2008.
Everyone is welcome !
This is a great way to meet and mingle with some of Ontario (and
surrounding areas) VHF, UHF, uWave gurus and other weak signal, EME
and satellite enthusiasts and experimenters. This is also a great
opportunity to ask questions and network with people in these circles if
you're just getting interested in weak signal operation.
Tentative Itinerary:
9:00 ~ 12:00 Antenna range testing in the East parking **
12:00 ~ 1:00 Lunch break
1:00 ~ 5:00 Tech talks (speakers & subjects TBA)
5:00 ~ 6:00 Mini flea-market, chat session.
6:00 ~ 7:00 Buffet Dinner
7:00 ~ ?? Door prizes/ Chat session
** Antenna range testing limited is to 4 bands between 50 MHz and 1300
MHz due to time constraints. 222MHz has already been chosen. The other 3
bands will be selected based on popularity. Please let Bob Morton know
what band(s) you would like to test your antennas on by e-mailing him
at: bobm@mapleleafcom.com
Pre-registration is $35 ($40 if received after September 19/08) which
includes a great buffet dinner, or $5 w/o dinner to help cover the
overhead of the activities for the day. (Humber College students free
w/o dinner).
Dinner has historically been great with at least 2 entrees and
accommodation for vegetarians. You'll get at least 2 trips up the the
buffet table, then some yummy desert ! We need to sell at least 20
plates in order to meet the caterer's minimum ...please join us for dinner.
