Had fun on the 432 Fall Sprint last night.
Checked the WA1ZMS/B and W3CCX/B on 2m around 6:30pm,
and both were up a few S units, so anticipated some
enhancement to the SW. I would say the band was up
a little above flat condx. but that's about it.
Did really well to the SW and NE, pretty much filling
in all the squares between FN54 (TNX K1DY!) and FM06.
Worked FM06/16/07/17/08/18/09/19/28/29 for example
(TNX W4SHG/R for FM08/09!). But had no luck at all
to the W-NW. Worked FN02/12 ok but nothing from
EN90/91/92/FN03/13, no VE3's, no FN33.
I did however work FN34/35 and several FN32's!
(Guess my whining last week about FN32 paid off!)
I definitely need to improve my antenna situation,
just using a temporary 24 el. crowded in at 62'.
(My M2 9WL at 76' got trashed by lightning last year.)
All in all, 65 QSOs x 24 Grids for 1,560.
Tnx to all who got on and the sponsors at SVHFS!
