During the 10GHz contest--when I have a single 2m beam on the
roof--I make up a sign that I paste in three windows that says;
Energizer Bunny Tracking Team "It's out there...." (I try to use
the proper, distinctive font for "Energizer")
Of course, when I get to an operating location, I park and pull
out the tripod and dish system.
So far I've just used paper in document protectors (doesn't
survive rain well (like this weekend)). Next step is laminating
but preferred would be magnetic signs.
Might as well keep 'em guessing :-)
By the way, I've been roving for over 17 years, and this was the
first rove where I had Nann and Indian Curry as my snack food at
an operating location :-) . I was traveling with three other ops
and Sat night we stopped for Indian food in Fargo, ND. Yum!
Oh, over the 17 years of roving I've had "lots of run-ins with law
enforcement" :-) . Of course, not in the most negative way that
can be interpreted :-) . And yes, I've been stuck too--January
contest in EN-55 (snow in the ditch). And I've forgotten things.
Ahhh, but the beauty at 10pm (local) on Sunday night of a contest
weekend as I take down some deployed antennas.
