Hello Paul aka BUG man,
Well activity begets activity. I was always impressed that you got on and
were active from your spot on VHF. The problem is that if no one ever gets
on, then no one will point anything up there ever! In the 222 Sprint I
alternated between the fixed SW array and a pair of 8 element stacked yagis
aimed NE. The only guy on was K1DY. VE2DFO was on from Montreal up
northwest. That was it for Northern activity! Having an antenna pointed NE
is great as you can quickly switch to it and make noise for awhile. No
waiting several minutes for a rotor to turn. It sure gets lonely listening
that way though.
