One other note about conditions. I tuned into a local Big Gun contest station who was working some guy double hop who was S9 at the Big Gun contest station. I am about 45 miles from him. This station who was S9 - was S0 - not a peep - at my location. I tried a six element beam at 110 feet and a 7 element long boom beam at 45 feet and there was nothing. Conditions are very dynamic and very local for sure.
