Being tempered by thunderstorms forecast for this weekend, WB8BZK/R will be
roving the June VHF contest starting out at Hillcrest Park (old Nike site)
in EN53va Waukesha, WS just west of Milwaukee. I'll operate from there for
about two hours at the start of the contest then move a few miles east to
Wick Field Park to operate from EN63ab until about 2300Z.
I'll drive down to Nichol Knoll EN62ad in Arlington Hts, IL where I will
operate from about 0130Z for the rest of the evening.
Sunday morning I will set up at about 1400Z on a ridge near Plato Center, IL
which is just west of Elgin, IL. I'll operate for two hours from EN52sa.
If the hill at Greene Valley is open, I'll operate from EN51 for about 3
hours starting at about 1800Z
I'll hit EN61 for about an hour before heading back to EN62 (Nichol Knoll)
for the rest of the contest.
Bands will include 100W 50 (Loop), 125W 144 (Loop), 25W 223.5 FM (vertical),
120W 222 (Loop & 4 el), and 75W 432 (10 el & loop), & 35W 1296 (21 el) SSB
or CW. I'll also monitor 144.520 FM and 446.0 FM (vertical) for extra
contacts. No 903 this time around (No TX power out).
Best of luck to everyone in the contest,
Mike WB8BZK/R
