Subject: [Mw] Microwave Activity Day, Saturday October 1, 2005
Reminder to North American Stations, well, anyone anywhere, really. This
Saturday October 1, 2005, microwave activity day. Morning from 8AM or whatever
to noon, 1PM, 2PM whatever. Second part, would be Monday evening, say 7 to
11PM. I rarely hear anyone on for that. Monitor 144.260 USB.
Alternate, 432.120 USB. Chance to check out the microwave equipment. Find
activity. See if you got whatever fixed from last contest or 2 weeks ago. .
.
Bill, W3IY championed this a while back to promote microwave activity (902 and
up). Give a chance, or excuse to get on, try things out, and get people on.
Make shure that your station is working. Not to mention have some fun.
So, in his words, time to get that kitchen pass in order, and get on the
microwaves. First Saturday Morning of the month, and the following Monday
evening. Good also to check out a new rover site, or whatever. Turn on the
radio, and make some activity. Next one would be Saturday, November 5. Write it
on the calendar. Don't just talk about it. Do something.
