On September 28, 1542, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo landed at San Diego
Bay. This event marked the first time that a European expedition had
set foot on what later became the west coast of the United States.

So as one would expect there are alot of things with 'Cabrillo' in the
name in California because of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo.

One of those things is Cabrillo College in Aptos, Ca.

The Cabrillo log format was created by Trey Garlough N5KO.
Trey lives in Aptos, CA.

As to Gene's question.....

Take your pick.
