posting for N3NGE:
I am looking for information on how to maintain a fixed TX power level
as seen at the rear panel Transverter jack of the FT1000-MP.
The signal available at this jack with the front panel power control
fully advanced is about -6 dBm. I can work with that. The problem is
variation in power vs temperature. The variation is significant from
cold start and continues to move around even after thorough warm-up
depending on the QSO vs standby time.
Of course after passing through the system modules of transverter,
intermediate amplifier and PA, the changes are unacceptable.
Any information on a proven fix would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Len
