Out of curiosity I looked this indicator lamp up in the GE Lamp Products
Catalog :-) and they have a note that says if you run the bulb on DC
rather than AC the life of the bulb is reduced by 50%. :-( They rate
the bulb at 15,000 hours :-) when operated on 28 VAC (.08A).
