K3UHF, Yes indeed Russell VE3OIL does do much good for Canada. During the
June and September contests, he is partnered with Murray VE3NPB driving
separate vehicles. In January, Russ travels alone, trying to cover off the
same grids. They divide the grids in half, and cover off the grids east of
Toronto, namely FN13, FN14, FN03 and FN04 in one day, then move south-west for
as many EN grids the next day. Russell now exceeds 36 contests as a rover, and
has his equipment well engineered for use both stationary and mobile too. It
remains to be seen if anybody in Canada will ever exceed their fantastic score,
which keeps growing and growing. Must be a lot of Energizer bunnies in the
back of that pickup truck.

73,

Bill VE3CRU/R
