Ok here is a suggestion however offered a bit late.

Sometimes the calling frequency is crowded, however if you don't use it a lot
you are often shooting yourself in the foot. So I am suggesting a rover alt
frequency plan. Not a full time deal, I too think thats a bad idea.

Therefore here is a suggestion for rovers and I will try to abide by it. I
will set a window for 3 minutes centered on the quarter hours to call on
144.220. This is to break free of the pile ups. I may call 20 kc high on the
other
bands as well during this window. However 2 meters is my best suit. Just to
complicate things I will use 50.140 on 6 meters during this window. However
if we all agree to a 20 kc offset later that's cool with me.

In theory, those of you with several radios could set one on 144.220 and hope
to hear something. And those of you bored of the local pile up can go to .220
and hope to hear something.

Therefore Except maybe during the first 20 minutes of the contest I will call
from xx:14-16, xx:29-31, xx:44-46, and xx:59 to XX+1:01 on 144.220 voice and
cw. I will try to turn the vehicle to cover as much as possible. This might
get stretched out if it works or thrown out if it doesn't.

If others adopt this as well I don't think it will be a big issue if 2 or
three of us rovers are on .220 at the same time.

Also I may not change frequencies while driving, no offense, please cut me
some slack on that one.

Perhaps I will try to use .220 or .120 or .140 whatever the case may be when
I have 2 or three people waiting to run the bands with me.

I will run away and hide now because I am sure to get flamed on this.
