You are correct. Director 4 should be 12 inches long on both the 8 and 11 element 432 antennas.

I ran the numbers in NEC at one time when I was considering building the 11 element 432 antenna. Ended up making a W4RNL 12 element OWA design for 432 instead, using wire and wood much like the WA5VJB antennas.

Has anyone built the 8el 432 yagi from the dimensions on the W0FMS site?
The length of director four (11") looks wrong. I suspect it should be 12"
instead.

George: Will you be operating from near Willits, CA? I usually operate as
a rover in CM97, CM98, DM09, etc. I works a station on Shasta several times
during the June contest.

I am putting together a contesting trailer and looking for suggestions
and
recommendation for antennas. At this time I will be installing antennas
and
equipment for 6, 2, 220, 432 and 1.2. When not traveling, the antennas
will
be mounted on top of a 30' crank up tower.

May I suggest WA5VJB "cheap yagi's" for such an app at least for
144-222-432 MHz

Here's one link. Do a google search on WA5VJB yagi for more
